Ian McCloy Island Swim Information

Celebrate swimming and Sudbury’s Lake Nepahwin at the Ian McCloy 28th annual Island Swim on Sunday, July 17.

The swim features events for children and adults, including a 100-metre youth swim, 500-m, 1.6-kilometre and 3.2-kilometre swim challenges.

Early registration is available at The Running Room in Cedar Pointe Plaza until July 15. Early fee is $20.

Race day fee is $25. Some family rates are also available on race day.

Registration is at the university beach at 8:45 a.m. The swims are expected to start at 10:15 a.m. The cost for children in the 100-metre swim is $5.

Fees include awards, draw prizes, food, and access to the beach.

The swim is named after the late McCloy, a former national record holder, and member of Laurentian Masters Swim Club. This is a supervised community swim race as part of the Sudbury Fitness Challenge.
